Alexis Bittar

I seem to have a thing for studs and grommets these days. I am in love with this Alexis Bittar Pyramid Lucite Cuff. Would look great with any outfit! The color is eye-catching. Great for those all white summer outfits! Available at Net-a-Porter.

How about doing your own thing?

The more fashion blogs we look at the more we realize.... everyone really does dress the same. I guess that's why they call it trends. If I were to describe todays look it would be thrift store meets Alexander Wang with some crazy/chunky/gladiator style shoes. Not that there is anything wrong with that. In fact, I quite like the look. But..... hey.... how about marching to your own beat!! (or however that damn saying goes)Hmmmm that's a unique idea. Above, some gorgeous pieces by California designer Heidi Merrick, and guess what?????? No layering.

Twelfth Street

I found this little diddy over on Pink Mascara today. It's a great summer dress that gives me a Donna Summer disco feeling for some reason. Love the great color!! This will be perfect for those hot summer days ahead!

Oh my beloved Miu Miu... It's been two years since they closed their doors in So Cal on Robertson. I'm just beyond thrilled to know the little shop with my new "must have" bag is back and open on Rodeo Drive!! If your in the area stop in and have a look-see! Loving the black motorcycle jacket ( and yes I realize it was 90 degrees today!) All items available on Net-a-Porter.

Fun Gold Watches

More fun from my Japanese Fashion Mags.... I just LOVE these tacky gold watches with religious figures on them, I mean.. what could be more ghetto and fabulous then that!!! I want one sooooo bad!! The boyfriend just bought me a lovely chunky mens gold Timex... I'll post a pic as soon as it comes in the mail.

Gilfy

I thought these were fun, wild little shoes from the Japanese line Gilfy. I wish I could tell you more about Gilfy but since their website and ads are all in Japanese... you'll just have to look at the pretty little pictures.

Keep your little Blazer

Don't put away your little blazer you wore all Winter and Fall... A little tailored jacket over shorts or a white dress keep your Spring outfits looking chic. I have almost worn out my favorite Forever 21 jacket over the last season....... Hoping I can squeeze out a few more wears!

Chictopia

OMG, this has got to be the best site! I am completely obsessed with Chictopia.com. Just another reason for me to be on the computer even more then I already am! (ugh) But really it's a super fun little site where you create your own mini fashion blog by posting pictures of yourself in great outfits. Then its shared with all the other fun fashion gals that are on. Fun, fun, fun!!! Photos from their site from chictopia bloggers: sanseyelash, zoe, and everybodyisugly.

The Costume Institute Gala

Last night was the big Costume Institute Gala... here are just a few of my favorite ensembles. The fashionable Kate Bosworth (yes on our site once again ) Anna Wintour just kills it in Chanel Couture. The dress reminds me of something Natalie Portman wore in all the Star Wars movies. Coco Rocha and Anja Rubik are anything but boring.  Zac Posen and Kate Mara in Zac Posen of course. I am just mad, mad in love with the Givenchy dress Christina Ricci wore. (although she could use a cheeseburger or two), also loving Diane Krugers random pink shoes. See much much more at Style.com

Brown Shoe Conclusion

Just FYI... in conclusion to the brown shoe confession earlier, this is what I decided to go with. From Nine West, they are a sort of gladiator inspired peep-toe sandal, with a decent size heel. The shoe comes in black and of course.... this lovely shade of brown.

Sunnies

It's that time of the year when we happily break out the sunnies... and that usually means we are all in the market for a new pair. ( or two or three ) There are so many fabulous glasses to choose from and you can never have to many. I've had my eye on a pair of Tom Ford's for some time now....but unfortunately, they are not in my cards ( or in my bank account ) but I found a great alternative. (photos above) Thrift store $3.99 ers no less!!! Just goes to show not everything has to cost you an arm and leg to be great!! You just need to keep your eyes open.
