Brown Shoes

I have a thing for brown/beige/tan colored shoes. Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you I rarely buy anything else. I have no idea why......... it's strange I agree. So when I wanted to post some pictures of some great spring/summer shoes I've been coveting and realized (of course) they were all brown, I almost decided against it. But then I figured hey..... we all have our faults, so what the hell. Also for the record, I go back and forth about the wedge. Sometimes I think they should go to that far away place I hope chunky flip-flops have gone and sometimes.... I don't know, they seem like a good idea. These wedges in the first pic by Borne are strangely ugly too. I have no idea why on earth I want them. Shoes by Borne, Christian Louboutin, and Cole Haan.

My new Miu Miu handbag

Okay so officially I don't have this bag.... but apparently all you have to do is ask the universe for whatever you want and it will come. So I'm BEGGING!!! Every time I see a picture of this GORJ! Miu Miu bag it brings tears to my eyes. The color, the shape.... so classic looking. It will be mine........ oh yes, it will be mine.

To mix metals or not to mix metals.....

I suppose most people are firm believers in either wearing gold or silver, but never at the same time. This is one of those pretty basic common knowledge type of things.... although personally, I don't buy it. I like mixing metals. In fact I'm doing it as I speak ( or type ). Super famous stylist Rachel Zoe always seems to do it. ( although it's hard to see she is DEF mixing metals in this pic ) In her book "Style A to Zoe" she says you should only mix metals when there is a way to link them. For instance, a piece that incorporates both metals. Hmmmmmm.. To mix or not to mix??? This is the question.

Long Summer Dresses

The weather in SoCal is unbelievable.... already seems like summer. Nothing is better then a gorgeous long light weight dress when trying to look fashionable during the killer heat! The first picture above is a FABULOUS Roberto Cavalli silk dress, that I just LOVE! The second (and I have no idea why it is sideways) is my cheaper version of this great summer style. In fact... about $4,500 dollars cheaper. No joke! Found it at my local Veronica M.

The Return of the Jean Jacket

Yes the jean jacket has made it's comeback... and not on the runways but on the streets. Here are a couple photos courtesy of Lucky Mag's Street Scene. We should of figured when one of the Olsen sisters was spotted a couple months ago wearing one, that girls everywhere would start to be seen in them. In London and New York ( pics above ) the fashionable are all sporting little denim and sometimes deconstructed jackets. Guess it's time to dust mine off!!

Fashion Forward?????

This isn't a new photo... but while browsing through old pictures from the 'Sartorialist', I found this gem. Now I'm all for trend-settters, those fashion forward few who seem to be doing things no one else has quite caught on to yet, but these pants???? Oh man.... the shape (while I'm sure cutting edge to a few) would do nothing for me but make me look like an oompa loompa. I work so hard at trying to make my Corgi short legs look longer then they really are, so pants like this REALLY frighten me! EEEEkkkk!

The White T Shirt

No one loves a white t-shirt more then me... ( and Nicole Richie obviously ) .  My all time favorite white t-shirt is from James Perse. It's extra long and super super soft. I seriously wear it all the time!!! So much so, that it's time for my favorite T to become a dust rag...  (sniff ) You can pair a white T with just about anything.... dress it up, dress it down, add a ton of accessories.... your options are endless.  I am of course dieing to go back to James Perse to replace my beloved white T, but since I'm currently unemployed (ok, so for a year now) I think I'll be going to my local Target for a packet of mens Hanes T's. 3 for $10 bucks! They definitely do the trick.  ( Could they find a goofier looking dude to model their t-shirts????!!!)

Linen Pants

Nothing welcomes in Spring/Summer like a pair of Linen Pants. I've never owned a pair but for some reason have always wanted some. They look so dressed up but also super comfy, just like a pair of pajamas. The boyfriend so kindly bought me this pair from J. Crew. ( what a guy )

We always love us some SJP. Who doesnt?  Here she is at the screening of her new film Smart People.  The outfit is so odd... so SJP.... so Carrie. Who would of thought to put a pink Jil Sander coat with a blue tunic and leather leggings?? Not an outfit I would wear.... but we love anything on SJP!!!!

Esprit

I remember back in the 80's when I thought Esprit was sooooooooo cool! My cousin would take me to this huge Esprit store in San Francisco when I'd visit for the summer. Anywho... I'm not exactly sure what happened to them but I do know I'm surprised when I still hear the name or see a random shop somewhere.  This is a super cool cargo biker dress I found on their website, on sale for $79 dollars. I love all the details and the fact that it looks great worn over pants. Hmmmmm..... considering it.
